Alyssa Kane is a speech language pathologist, feeding specialist and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with over 15 years of experience. She integrates her skills as a well trained speech language pathologist with an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant to help you during your feeding journey. Her specialization is working with the pediatric population with the medically involved child with breast/feeding/swallowing challenges, weaning children from supplemental means of hydration/nutrition, and tongue and lip tie therapy (pre and post frencetomy). She has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient centers, early intervention in families homes, school settings, acute care, sub acute care and intensive outpatient feeding programs.
Prior to starting her own private practice, she worked at the world renowned Rusk Rehabilitation Center at NYU (NICU, PICU, cardiac ICU, general pediatric floor, and outpatient center) where she worked as a speech language pathologist and a lactation counselor. She left NYU in 2019 to pursue her dreams of building her private practice.

Alyssa holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA and is certified in both New York and New Jersey. She also is an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant and can see patients' around the world for breastfeeding evaluations.

Alyssa lives in Maplewood NJ with her husband and two girls.

A key eliminate to making this work is the family's participation and including them in their child's goals. We know that this can be a process and we want to make it more seamless for you.

We are based in Maplewood NJ but see children across NY and NJ, always in your home setting whether it be in person or virtually.
